Kennesaw Mountain High School opened in 2000, the first phase of this new 2000-student high school for grades 9-12 opened in northern Cobb County at the start of the 2000-2001 school year. The original 323,727 Square Foot facility was completed in December 2000. Designed by Passantino & Bavier, the school's design integrates their detailed programming study developed in conjunction with educators and school personnel.
